This novel is like a diarrhea of the brain. Or least many of the passages read as such, like the author didn't know when to stop. With all the overly long descriptions and nonsensical run-on sentences, the book overstays its welcome. But I'm giving it three stars (instead of two) because of the tantalizing tale of "the kid" that begins the story. Unfortunately, that tale is quickly lost among the stream-of-consciousness of random violent encounters and the one thousand and one ways the author can describe sand blowing around the desert.
This was very boring and i couldn't even finish it which is a shame since i spent around 60 bucks on this series. Talk about my money going down the toliet. It was just to slow and the whole love story seemed a lot like this: Luce- "I love you" Daniel- "I love you too" Luce- " NO, I love you more." And so far and so forth. There was one scene that quite bother me because Daniel went to go get swimsuits and googles for them so they could dive into this sunken church to get this halo and when he comes back he comes back with only googles. See what I mean? There was no action like at all throughout what i read and i like books with epic battles through out the book not jsut the ending which im sure this story's battle was found. I will probably never pick up this series again and i hope i never have to. Hopefully I can sell this series so i can get my money back. Please whatever you do NOT read this seies.
Simple board book with examples of Hawaiian words that use the 12 letters in the Hawaiian alphabet (along with their English translations.) Fun for young readers.
