It was recommended to me at the book store to read this first when I was contemplating the DeVinci Code. I found it riveting, as a good mystery. with all the controversy over the later book, I did not read the Code.

I liked the young adult 1st person point of view. It wasn't about the scenery but the details of climbing Mt. Everest. Granted it simplified it tons I am sure but I enjoyed the book.
