This 909 page "history" of the Holy Land was not easy to get through, but I learned a lot about the Jewish people and Israel, as well as some issues of the past. It was good preparation for my trip to the Holy Land in October.
When I told my mother I was reading this book, she responded with, "Oh that Jane Goodall is an odd one." And I suppose that's the reaction most people have when encountering an incredibly spiritual person. I found this book to be an incredibly source of strength-- she entered her field with no formal training, only a passion to learn. I find that incredible.
